Hi, I'm Bethany

I am the wife of a firefighter and the mother of the most amazing, dinosaur-obsessed six year old boy.

I am a credit analyst by day.

A book and puzzle lover by night.

And a natural light photographer in between.

Bethany B Photography was started back in 2012. I had the pleasure of working with so many wonderful clients and received my certification in Digital Photography from the Illinois Institute of Art. Unfortunately, after a handful of years, I started to burn out and the passion that I once had for photography felt like it was gone.

In late 2016 I started to get the creative itch again and began taking on clients. That would be short lived though because in March of 2017 I was diagnosed with breast cancer.

Fast forward to now. If there is one thing I have learned from beating cancer it is that life is short and is meant to be lived to the fullest. I offered to take my sister's maternity pictures recently and I thank God that I did because it truly re-ignited something in me. I had forgotten how much I loved photography. How the entire process, from start to finish, is something that makes my heart happy and my soul filled.

I find such joy in capturing life's special moments.
